1. To display the result (male given names) and categorise the entry into the category Category:Male given names, use the following :

1b. If one knows the origin of the name; to display the result (male given names) and categorise the entry into the category Category:Male given names from Greek, use the following :

{{given name|male|from Greek|}}

NB: One may substitute for 'Greek' the proper origin of the word : eg, Germanic, Latin, Chinese.

2. To display the result (female given names) and categorise the entry into the category Category:Female given names, use the following :
